![]() I basically asked this exact same question when I first played them because I thought the exact same thing, especially because of that specific doctrine that makes it sound random. which race/secret tech has the most summons available to them? i really enjoy sorcerer in age of wonders 3 and besides the celestial tier 4 summon (which is great, but cannot be massed quickly) i don't know what to play if i want a summon army. Unrelated question since you and the community are much more knowledgable than i am. i'm on turn ~45 and even though i forcibly turn any pustule i get into a destroyer, i'm only sitting on 5 plague lords. Hidden mechanics aside (which i do not like), i DO like this gauge system. in actuality, is there 30% more "evolution xp" for back of a better term, going towards this hidden gauge? ![]() i even have a doctrine on that increases the "chance" of them spawning by 30% for each hero in combat. however, why is it not stated as such in game? all the descriptions in game led me to believe that if i infected an enemy there was a chance of them turning into a pustule after combat. ![]() ![]() The pool is global, so even units nowhere near the fight can get upgraded. So if you're doing it right and not seeing any spawns, check your existing units. ![]() Once you plateau, spawn rates pick up again. It prioritizes upgrading units over spawning new units, so when you have a good amount of units it will actually slow down the spawning considerably since so much of it will go to upgrades instead of new units. Whenever it fills, it either spawns a pustule, or evolves one of your existing xeno units to the next stage, so long as you have that stage researched.
